the staff’s warm welcome was a perfect way to begin a wonderful getaway. for a few wonderful days, my husband and i indulged ourselves cheap in all the delights this spotless jamaican "all-inclusive" offered. for starters, the resort has one of the island’s best beaches, a glorious three-mile stretch of white sand. a day didn’t go by without at least a couple of hours there. hotel we didn’t stay all day only because the crystal-clear caribbean was far too tempting to resist. my particular passion, water-skiing, was tailor-made for couples. the rest was up to the caribbean and us. needless to say, we had a fabulous time. away from the water, in we enjoyed socializing with the other, mostly friendly vacationers. typically, there’s a pleasant mix of people at couples, orlando from retired snowbirds to honeymooners. and this trip was no exception. we made plenty of new acquaintances, especially while we were dining.

at the bag drop a cheerful young man will take your clubs out of your car and load them into your golf cart. you head into the pro shop and are flordia greeted with a dynamic display of the best golf accessories in existence, and at reasonable prices. if you have a few minutes before your round of golf, there is a lighted cheap practice range and putting green. the hotel par-72, 18-hole course is a thing of beauty, with rolling hills throughout the fairways, and 75 sand bunkers positioned strategically throughout the course. in every green is orlando protected by two, three and sometimes even four sand bunkers, so if you are not precise with your approaches shots, expect to be hacking sand. the greens are finely manicured, but not too fast, which is a relief if you usually putt to the back of the flordia cup.
